CPS, Ltd. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Land Surveyor I in Grand Forks, ND. CPS is a Grand Forks-based Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm with a 4-decade history of providing professional services for surveying, land development, and municipal, transportation, traffic, and environmental engineering.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of conventional survey equipment, robotic total stations, and Trimble RTK GPS systems.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Products.
- Communicate clearly with co-workers, clients, and the public.
- Perform topographic and boundary surveys.
- Ability to understand legal descriptions. Have basic knowledge about what is involved
with legal descriptions. - Perform fieldwork and computations.
- Assist in construction staking for site development, highway and street, utilities, and
other related projects. - Familiar with standard survey practices.
- Provide quality control and quality assurance.
- Work effectively independently or as a team member.
Qualifications
- Entry Level.
- Must be hard-working, self-motivated, energetic, and have strong computer skills.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
